The thesis is the culmination of the studies at the Department of Digital Systems. It is an intensive and relatively long effort to address a specific problem of Digital Systems and more generally the science of computers, networks and telecommunications in a comprehensive way.
The student selects a thesis topic that touches on his/her interests in areas of Digital Systems, and with the guidance of the supervisor, he/she delves into it by studying literature sources, implements the requirements of the topic, and finally, writes a report in which he/she presents the results of his/her work.
The preparation of the thesis requires the use of much of the knowledge acquired by the student during his/her studies, while at the same time leading him/her to acquire new knowledge and skills. For these reasons, the thesis is a very good preparation for the student's further career in the professional and research field of Digital Systems.
