The Department of History, Archaeology and Management of Cultural Assets, the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, the Department of Management Science and Technology and the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Peloponnese, organize and operate the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Studies Programme (DMP) entitled: "Management and Technologies in Cultural Heritage".

Subject matter: Management and Technology in the field of Management of Cultural Heritage and Technologies in the field of Management of Cultural Heritage.

The subject matter of the MSc is related to the contemporary and interdisciplinary disciplines of Management and New Technologies, with application to Cultural Heritage. The aim is to provide graduates of higher education with specialised, modern and competitive scientific knowledge, which they will be able to use in a wide range of professional and research directions in this thematic field.

The aim of the MSc is for graduates to:

α. Be able to work in the administration and management of cultural institutions and programmes in the field of cultural heritage using technological tools,
b. be able to work as members of interdisciplinary teams in professional programmes related to culture,
c. to develop a research philosophy and through this to master the concepts of the feasibility of a cultural idea and the resulting entrepreneurship and sustainability of the project.
 

Postgraduate titles

The MSc awards a Diploma of Postgraduate Studies (MSc) in "Management and Technologies in Cultural Heritage", which deals with the management, use and development of new technologies in Cultural Heritage.
 

Space and Technical Infrastructure

The classrooms and secretariat of the MSc, and the logistical equipment, are covered by the existing premises and the existing equipment of the Institute of Byzantine Culture Research (INEVYP) of the University of Peloponnese, based in Mystras (inevyp.uop.gr).
The collaborating Departments also provide access to their research infrastructures within the framework of this MSc.
 

Teaching method

In person, at the premises of INEVYP in Mistra, on Friday and Saturday.
There is the possibility of a maximum of 40% distance learning. Participants have the possibility to participate in one one-day study tour per semester.
